Today I finished my prezi on music theory where I included Andrew Goodwin's theory in. Through researching into his theory it has helped me understand what makes a successful and professional music video, and what vital steps must be taken.

Today I created my storyboard on a hard copy. I made 10 frames, and then commented on them explaining what they will be including and what style shot they will be. I then scanned it into the computer which made the document an image, and allowed me to show it on my blog.

Today I completed my research into my relevant music genre. At first I didnt know exactly what genre my music video song would fit into, because it related to a few genres. Through researching on the interenet I found a genre which I thought it suited best. I used powerpoint presentation as the layout for this page.

Today I researched into Digipaks because I didnt know what they were. Once I knew what they were I made a short powerpoint presentation to explain what they were and how they worked. Then, I created a slideshare and analysed three digipaks. I chose to use digipaks which were currently existing ones, and which were well known.

Today I finished analysing Rihanna's music video "Rude Boy". I chose to anaylse this particular video because it includes much use of the green screen, which is what I am hoping to use when filming my music video. Also, she is a popular music artist and the song is upbeat, which is similar to the song I will be using.

Today I finished off my moodboard. It took me a while to find the appropriate pictures which fitted in with the genre of my music video because I wanted the genre to be obvious. The genre is shown through clothing, and the colour employed in the moodboard.

I have just finished my research into Music Channels. I chose to look into music channels which I am familiar with, know a little about, and watch frequently. I focused on, MTV, 4 Music, VIVA and VH1. I chose to use powerpoint due to the layout I would have to use. Powerpoint was a good choice considering I needed to include both text and images.

The next thing I completed was researching into a music director and their previous work. I found a director who has worked with music artists which I like and listen to. I chose to upload my powerpoint to slideshare which for differentiation.

Today I started a finished my research into the band/artist I will be using for my music video. I have chosen to pick a band which isn't around today, however their main hit still is, and is a well known old school song. It was hard to find information on this band through the internet, however I managed to find the basics and add images too.

Once I had videoed myself reading out my analysis of Azealia Banks music video, I imported it into Adobe Premier and edited parts of it which wasnt needed. I main changes i had to do was editting out parts from the beginning and end of the video to make it look more professional, and not the constant stop and starting.

During this single lesson, I decided to add images to my powerpoint of Azealia Banks music video. This includes the screenshots from the music video that I have spoken about, therefore proving my analysis.

Today i finished analysing Azaelia Banks' music video 212. I focused on the beginning of the video considering many aspects are included repeatedly throughout the video. After completing this, I then videoed myself on a camera and read out my analysis.

During todays lesson i started analysing music videos with the same genre that my video will be. This will tell me the conventions used in these types of music videos, and possibly enable me to include them in the making of my video too. The video I started analysing was Azealia Banks - 212.

Today I have continued with researching into different music labels and finding out about how they started. From the information I found, I have started a prezi to record it. Now I have just finished recording all my research I will next be adding it on to my blog.

Today I have completed and uploaded my conventions of a music video. To complete this element i researched through the internet to learn and understand why music videos have conventions. When I begin to film and make my music video i can refer back to this research to ensure my music video includes everything and will be successful.
